4/16/2023 0 Comments Flex gif animator keyIn blender when you model your wings segments… make sure the armatures are parented correctly with the root of your wing being the highest in parent order… (wing tips children)… Load up your plane in xplane11 and select weather “clear”… then with your plane at rest with no wind, use a dataref tool to find the value of gforce_normal while you are parked… let this be your midpoint… then fly the plane with the dataref values showing when you pull up and when you nose down… take notes of the high and low values for gforce_normal… The small imperfections that may come from the divisions and animations won't be noticed once the plane is in motion. You don't want the segments or divides to be visible when the wing is at rest. The more segments, the more animations work for you, and the more FPS lost to the animation, but the more seamless it will look. I would also recommend making the default overall shape (before divisions and animations) the shape that the wing has as it sits on the runway (at rest) since it the the shape that will get the most scrutiny (during the walk-around). Then by trial and error in Blender, I used the reference templates to shape each segment for the most appropriate angle to match the overall desired shape. Obviously the datarefs used for a rotor blade will be different than a wing, but I am pretty sure the process is exactly the same.Ī rotor blade flexes a lot more than the wing of a plane, but dividing the length of approx 17 feet in 10 segments practically made the segments invisible. From pictures, I made three guide-templates for a blade: one at rest, one kind of half-loaded, and one for the most extreme flex. Because all the segments are tied together (I use parenting for that purpose), the angle of the root segment affects all segments further out but the angle of the tip segment only affect the last (tip) segment. I used different angles for each segment of a rotor blade for a helicopter. It depends on the shape you are trying to create at the most extreme flex, and in between. I want tp make good wing flex animation as in real life. P.S Of course I can make wing flex as it did FF with their 777 - just rotate wings along fuselage without any shape deformation, but this looks poor. As you can see each of them have their own plain axes which are in charge of animation and datarefs. How should I connect deformation of wing with deformations of all other parts especially with plain axes? And yes, which datarefs can ve used for wing flex? If there is any other way to make wing flex animation - just let me know. The 2-nd question is: on 2-nd screen you can see deformated wing, the wing is deformated, but other parts - no. The 1-st is: I have no idea how to use datarefs for wing flex animation, where i should write them to mesh or somehow for plainaxes - I completely don't understand that. Basing on all said earlier I have several questions. And as I said earlier "simple transformation" modifier works only with mesh, but mesh can't be used for prescribing datarefs ( if I'm wrong at this moment and mesh can be used for datarefs - say about it ). The key moment is: I use plain axes as for animations, as location for datarefs ( prescribing datarefs not into mesh but into plain axes in "object properties" tab ). So, what should I do with them? For the completeness of understanding I'll describe process of animation that I use: First of all, plain axes are used as "rails" for animations movements, they are joined to mesh objects as parents, then I make keyframes for animation, add datarefs, values, after that I export scene as X-Plane OBJ aaand voila - I have animation in XP. And there is new problem: for wing flex animation I use modifier "simple transform" and this modifier works only with mesh, it doesn't work with those plain axes ( even though they are paranted to mesh objects ). As you can see on 1-st screen, I use empty plain axes for animations. Ok, I've figured out how to deformate each part, but this is not the end. which should be also "deformated" with wing ( all parts of mechanisation are separated from each other of course and can't be deformated with wing itself as 1 object ) . The problem is: I have a lot of wing mechanisation such as slats, flaps, ailerons, speedbrakes e.t.c. So, I'm making Aircraft for XP ( I use Blender 2.92 for modelling and animating ) and ran into a problem with wings. 4/16/2023 0 Comments Light reflectionFor instance, an apple appears a shiny red color because it has a relatively smooth surface that reflects red light and absorbs other non-red (such as green, blue, and yellow) wavelengths of light. Many of the objects that we casually view every day (people, cars, houses, animals, trees, etc.) do not themselves emit visible light but reflect incident natural sunlight and artificial light. However, in the real world most objects have convoluted surfaces that exhibit a diffuse reflection, with the incident light being reflected in all directions. When surface imperfections are smaller than the wavelength of the incident light (as in the case of a mirror), virtually all of the light is reflected equally. The amount of light reflected by an object, and how it is reflected, is highly dependent upon the degree of smoothness or texture of the surface. The reflected light produces a mirror image. Regardless of whether light is acting as particles or waves, however, the result of reflection is the same. Because the particles are so small, they travel very close together (virtually side by side) and bounce from different points, so their order is reversed by the reflection process, producing a mirror image. Wavefronts that originate from a source near the mirror will be highly curved, while those emitted by distant light sources will be almost linear, a factor that will affect the angle of reflection.Īccording to particle theory, which differs in some important details from the wave concept, light arrives at the mirror in the form of a stream of tiny particles, termed photons, which bounce away from the surface upon impact. The shape of light waves depends upon the size of the light source and how far the waves have traveled to reach the mirror. The reflection process inverts each wave back-to-front, which is why a reverse image is observed. According to wave-based theories, the light waves spread out from the source in all directions, and upon striking a mirror, are reflected at an angle determined by the angle at which the light arrives. This tutorial explores the relationship between incident and reflected angles for a virtual sinusoidal light wave.īecause light behaves in some ways as a wave and in other ways as if it were composed of particles, several independent theories of light reflection have emerged. Reflection of Light When light waves are incident on a smooth, flat surface, they reflect away from the surface at the same angle as they arrive. The best surfaces for reflecting light are very smooth, such as a glass mirror or polished metal, although almost all surfaces will reflect light to some degree. It is important to note that the light is not separated into its component colors because it is not being "bent" or refracted, and all wavelengths are being reflected at equal angles. This concept is often termed the Law of Reflection. Thus, the angle of incidence is equal to the angle of reflection for visible light as well as for all other wavelengths of the electromagnetic radiation spectrum. Visible white light that is directed onto the surface of a mirror at an angle (incident) is reflected back into space by the mirror surface at another angle (reflected) that is equal to the incident angle, as presented for the action of a beam of light from a flashlight on a smooth, flat mirror in Figure 2. The incoming light wave is referred to as an incident wave, and the wave that is bounced away from the surface is termed the reflected wave. However, it wasn't until a millennium and a half later that the Arab scientist Alhazen proposed a law describing exactly what happens to a light ray when it strikes a smooth surface and then bounces off into space. Some of the earliest accounts of light reflection originate from the ancient Greek mathematician Euclid, who conducted a series of experiments around 300 BC, and appears to have had a good understanding of how light is reflected. Throw a rock into the pool (see Figure 1), and the water is perturbed to form waves, which disrupt the reflection by scattering the reflected light rays in all directions. The simplest example of visible light reflection is the surface of a smooth pool of water, where incident light is reflected in an orderly manner to produce a clear image of the scenery surrounding the pool. Reflection of light (and other forms of electromagnetic radiation) occurs when the waves encounter a surface or other boundary that does not absorb the energy of the radiation and bounces the waves away from the surface. Pushing the button will give you instant warm or cool, and you can dial the level up or down. I can confirm the Wave 2 is just as effective as its predecessor. In my experience with the original Embr Wave this sensation was immediate, noticeable and powerful. The device is supposed to instantly provide a warming or cooling sensation on your wrist. (Button with nib = cooling, button without nib= warming.) Fortunately a small red/blue LED light will confirm heating or cooling. This isn’t as intuitive as the previous design and I kept forgetting which button was for heat and which was fo cooling. One button has a small bulge on it, while the other doesn’t. There’s just two buttons on the side of the device push either one quickly to turn it on. You’ll be asked to input some personal data like your age, sex, height and weight so that Embr can better tailor the effects to your needs. Turn the Wave 2 on and pair it to your phone by following the easy instructions in the app. Download the Embr Wave 2 app (this is a new app if you had the previous one) and sign up for an account. Personal Injury Protection (PIP) is optional in Texas, but insurance companies in the state are required to offer it as an additional option on all policies. If you only have the minimum coverage in Texas, the damage beyond $25,000 would have to come out of your pocket. It’s easy to imagine an accident involving just one or two other vehicles where the property damage exceeds $25,000. However, just because your insurance will only pay for $25,000 in property damage doesn’t mean you can’t be held responsible if you cause more than that amount of property damage. Having less coverage than this will prevent you from registering your car in Texas and could lead to being cited for being underinsured. It’s important to keep in mind that these are the minimum requirements for each type of coverage. $30,000 in bodily injury liability per person Texas Auto Insurance Requirements (minimum) In most states, drivers are required to carry a minimum amount of car insurance in order to be able to register and drive a car. For example, if an Austin city employee or vehicle was involved in your accident and you believe that the employee was at fault, you have to provide notice of your intention to sue within just 45 days. There may be other rules that you have to comply with, however, depending on the circumstances of your case. This means that you must file a lawsuit within two years of an accident or you won’t be able to sue. Statute of Limitations in TexasĪuto accidents are personal injury claims, and the statute of limitations on personal injury claims in Texas is two years. Under this system, anyone injured in an accident can seek compensation by filing a claim with the insurance company of the at-fault driver or by filing a lawsuit against them for damages. The driver found at fault and their insurance are responsible for paying for the property damage and injuries resulting from the accident. The insurance companies of the drivers involved in an accident determine fault based on evidence such as police reports and damage to the vehicles.
